The Need is Now!
Since opening, the GYRLA has submitted a petition warrant article each year requesting partial operating funds from the Town. The operating budget has grown modestly over time, and the Association has worked hard to keep the annual request as low as possible. The request had been capped at $47,100 for the past five years. This represented slightly less than half of the current annual operating budget.
In 2026, we are proposing to the town to raise and appropriate the sum of Thirty-Five Thousand Dollars ($35,000) for partial funding of operating expenses of the Gilmanton Year-Round Library for Fiscal Year 2026. This is far less than our annual budget. That is why we rely on our patrons for donations.
