Dear Friends of the Gilmanton Year-Round Library,
The Gilmanton Year-Round Library continues to grow and flourish because of people like you. We were able to secure town funding for PART of our annual budget because of people like you. We are able to continue to think about the future of this community resource because of people like you. I think even acclaimed author Lemony Snicket, would approve of our library and what it has come to mean to our town.
We are launching our 2nd Annual Giving Tree program in hopes that you will consider making a financial gift and partner with us to reach our remaining budget goal. There are six levels of donations available from which to choose…
Acorn level of $25 Bronze Leaf for $250
Flower level for $50 Silver Leaf for $500
Copper Leaf for $100 Gold Leaf level for $1,000
All donors will be honored by having their names placed on leaves of a new tree in the entry way of the library (donation amounts will remain anonymous).
The contributions that you make are important. Your gifts help to strengthen the bonds between literacy, visitors, and the community they can create. Your tax deductible contributions can be brought in, mailed, or by credit card via our website. Further information on giving can be found on our website at www.gyrla.org.
In appreciation of your support of our library, we would like to invite you to join us at our Annual Meeting on August 19th at 7:00 to learn about library activities and meet the new Board Members. Further details are included with this letter.
Thank you for your support,
P.S. Don’t forget to make your Amazon purchases through “Amazon Smile” and choose GYRL as your charity!

Miss Pam's Pick this month!
“In the chaos of a frenzied war, in the mounting gyre of fear, brutality, and cowardice, one man steps forward to offer 106 terrified souls safe passage from the hellfire. What human impulse—what valor, grit, and grace—led John Riordan to countermand his orders, risk personal danger, and set himself on a perilous course to save lives in the last anarchic days of the Vietnam War? They Are All My Family is a thrilling account of a young banker who had every opportunity to do exactly what his country was doing—cut his losses and run—and yet he did the very opposite. Told with gripping detail, a white-knuckle sense of urgency, and, above all, a very large heart, this is a story that recalls Schindler’s List or The Pianist or The Siege of Krishnapur. It is a triumphant tale.” —Marie Arana

OUR THANK YOU 'S!
The GYRLA Board and Staff want to send a BIG THANK YOU to the Gilmanton Firemen's Association for their generous gift of an AED Machine. We hope we never have to use it, but we feel much safer knowing we are prepared in an emergency! Firefighters that not only keep our community safe but they give back to it too? Gilmanton sure is a great place to live!
