Did you know that GYRLA does not collect late fees for overdue books? In lieu of late fines, GYRLA asks patrons to consider donating a food item when they return the overdue materials. These food items are then delivered to the Gilmanton Food Pantry that serves individuals and families in our community.
Upcoming Events and Programs

"GYRLA GIVES"
During the month of December, GYRLA will be collecting donations for the Gilmanton Food Pantry. A collection box will be at the main entrance to the library. Donations of non-perishable foods are being collected -- cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, canned frosting, cocoa (individual packets), canned green beans, stuffing, pickles, cake/brownie mix, juice 64 oz. size, margarine, canned pineapple, canned corn. Please be mindful of expiration dates and no open containers.

GYRLA is partnering with the Gilmanton Elementary School to provide holiday gifts for children.
Patrons can select an ornament from the GYRLA tree that lists the child's first name, age, and his/her interest.
If possible, patrons are encouraged to purchase a book for inclusion with the gift.
Please return the ornament, gift, and book together with a piece of wrapping paper
and box in a bag and place it under the tree marked
"Adopt a Child" on or before Saturday, December 16th.

GYRLA PERENNIAL GARDEN
On Saturday, September 23, 2023 a ceremony was held to install a plaque In Honor of the Blackey Women of Crystal Lake in the GYRLA Perennial Garden. Thank you to Jeanie Goddard and The Blackey Women of Crystal Lake for the plaque and their generous financial support to maintain the GYRLA Perennial Garden.
Also, thank you to all the volunteers who lovingly care for the garden.
