The GYRLA Board and Staff want to send a BIG THANK YOU to the Gilmanton Firemen's Association for their generous gift of an AED Machine. We hope we never have to use it, but we feel much safer knowing we are prepared in an emergency! Firefighters that not only keep our community safe but they give back to it too? Gilmanton sure is a great place to live!

What are your Librarians reading?
Miss Tasha's Current Read: The Vampire Lestat. Ten years after her last novel in The Vampire Chronicles, Anne Rice returns with out favorite Brat Prince - Lestat. Danger fills the streets and not just for the humans. Ancient Vampires are rising up against fledgings and making the world of the Undead - even deader. Rice once again finds a way to blend fantasy with science in this novel - mixing the vampire world with the world of genetics. Perhaps, we will finally discover what Vampires truly are - if they survive their self inflicted genocide.
Miss Pam's Current Read: Hard Choices. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s inside account of the crises, choices, and challenges she faced during her four years as America’s 67th Secretary of State, and how those experiences drive her view of the future.

The GYRL Giving Tree
Please take a moment to read about our newest GYRL fundraiser! It offers an opportuntiy to everyone to show their support!
This tiered plan allows all levels of donations to be given to the GYRL. From a $25 Acorn donation to fund a program, to a $1000 Gold Leaf donation to assist in operating costs.
There are six levels of donations available from which to choose.
They are as follows:
20 Acorns - $25
10 Flowers - $50
40 Copper Leaves - $100
20 Bronze Leaves - $250
10 Silver Leaves - $500
5 Gold Leaves - $1000
The ultimate goal of The Giving Tree is to raise the sum of $20,000 for The Gilmanton Year - Round Library. It is our hope that leaf by leaf, acorn by acorn, we will accomplish this mission.
Any donation level chosen provides the Staff and Board of The GYRL with the resources to offer a vast collection, engaging programming and great service to the deserving residents of Gilmanton.
