The Association is proud to report that of the $800,000 (including in kind support) needed to complete the Library, over $610,000 has been raised to date.
General
The Gilmanton Year-Round Library Association is a non-profit organization. Since our association is completely run by volunteers, no funds raised have gone towards administrative costs. This means that every penny contributed goes towards the goal of building our town’s first year-round library. Gifts have come from Gilmanton year-round residents, summer residences and school children, as well as from well-wishers throughout the United States. Volunteer
Everything the Gilmanton Year-Round Library Association has achieved to date has depended upon contributions from dedicated volunteers. Building a town library is such an enormous undertaking that it requires many volunteers. Among the many ways our 40 volunteers have helped have been by chairing a fundraising activity, designing a library scrapbook, clearing brush around the library site, scooping ice cream, offering their garden for touring, participating on our grant writing committee, and helping to design a web site. As you can see, there are many interesting and worthwhile possibilities. Your help is not only needed but will be greatly appreciated by our Association and by our town.
