ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Avree Kelly Clark is the award-winning author of Malice Aforethought, inspired by a true story of a murder in the small town of Pembroke, New Hampshire, in the autumn of 1875. Avree was then inspired to write her second novel about the most infamous serial killer to come out of her native state—a man born Herman Webster Mudgett. Driven by meticulous archival research, Avree specializes in surfacing overlooked stories and voices, transforming forgotten documents into evocative narratives that resonate with modern hearts. Her approach blends academic rigor with the warmth of human experience, creating a bridge between our complex past and the present day. When she's not working on researching her next book, Avree's a freelance proofreader and copy editor who enjoys reading, daily walks, kayaking on the lake, puzzling, and visiting the rocky coast of Maine. Avree lives in southern New Hampshire with her husband of eighteen years and their beloved cat, Aloysius. |
